Little Rays

Welcome to Little Rays Nursery

Little Rays Nursery is a 30-place nursery class within Raysfield Primary School, welcoming children aged 2–4 years old. Our nursery children are taught by a qualified teacher, with the support of qualified early years practitioners. Each member of staff has been carefully chosen for their experience and commitment to providing the highest quality of care and early education.

As part of Raysfield Primary School, our nursery children benefit from access to a wide range of facilities, including the forest school area, school allotment, sports hall, and playing fields. They also have access to specialist teachers and leaders across the school.

Being part of a school setting provides a rich, nurturing environment where children can flourish. Our nursery team works closely with the wider early years staff to ensure each child’s developmental milestones are carefully supported through a play-based approach. We believe that young children learn best through play, exploration and hands-on experiences, and we tailor our activities to nurture their curiosity, creativity and confidence. By observing and responding to each child’s individual needs and interests, we are able to nurture their development and celebrate their progress in a way that feels natural and child-led.
