Welcome to Raysfield Primary School and Little Rays Nursery
On behalf of the Governors, staff and children here at Raysfield Primary School and Little Rays Nursery, we would like to welcome you to our school and nursery.
We take great pride in developing every child to learn in their own unique way, on one seamless learning journey. From their earliest experiences in Little Rays Nursery through to the end of primary school, we want every child to feel happy, valued and confident, while being supported and challenged to achieve their very best.
We are committed to providing an excellent education for our community. Our inspiring curriculum is designed to encourage children to be curious and motivated to learn, while making sure they develop the strong foundations they need to become confident learners. From the very early stages of learning in our nursery to the end of primary school, we want children to build secure knowledge and understanding, develop their skills and take pride in what they can achieve.
We also believe that a child’s time with us should be about much more than what happens in the classroom. We care greatly about our children and want them to have a childhood filled with experiences that stay with them. We want them to have opportunities to discover new interests; try things they may not have done before; and, most importantly, make memories that they will look back on with a smile.
Our school and nursery are at the heart of our community and strong relationships with families are an important part of life at Raysfield. We value the partnership between home and school and know that when we work together, our children benefit. Our teaching team are committed to knowing our children well and helping them to grow and flourish throughout their time with us.

Communication to parents at Raysfield is fantastic, staff at the school are approachable and always ready to help. My son loves to receive Dojo points, it is a great tool for parents to see what the children get up to at school.
