Sports Funding
The government has provided additional funding to primary schools through the PE and Sport Premium to support improvements in the quality and provision of physical education, physical activity and sport. The current PE and Sport Premium funding arrangements apply for the 2025–26 academic year.
Under the current conditions of grant, funding must be used to make additional and sustainable improvements to PE and sport provision for the benefit of all primary-aged pupils and must be spent within the academic year in which it is allocated
