Travel Plan
One of the main themes within our vision ‘Respond to my World’ is teaching our pupils the importance of looking after our planet. One way we do this is by encouraging our school community to walk, cycle or scoot to school, supporting our vision strand, “Connect with My Community.”
Active travel benefits our pupils by keeping them healthy and fit, while research shows it can improve concentration and support learning. At the same time, fewer vehicles on the roads make the community safer for pedestrians and cyclists, reducing congestion for residents as well as contributing to cleaner air and a healthier environment for everyone.

Active Travel
We are committed to running different events throughout the year to encourage our community to walk, cycle or scoot to school. This includes regular competitions such as ‘the golden padlock’ and‘Bling my Bike’.
We also encourage our community to ‘Burst the Bubble’ by parking outside of the immediate school location and walking through the ‘five minute bubble barrier’.
